Joy To The World

My first holiday decoration purchase of the season. I love this message and the pillow looks so good on the bench in my entry, that I think I will leave it there year-round.

No! I’m still fighting the end of summer, as I sit here in my sweat pants, turtleneck and sweatshirt, with frost on the ground. Grr. My son/nephews only want gift cards and my hubby and I don’t exchange. I miss the days of anticipation and surprise. I love your pillow and I would absolutely leave it up all year. PS Do you know anyone who will adopt me just for Christmas Eve/Day? I LOVE it!

I have all my turkeys and pilgrims out. I don’t put up any Christmas till Thanksgiving is over. I did pick up a few Christmas decorations at Micheal’s the other day. One was a great Xmas mug to had to my collection. That got me excited.

Love the message on your pillow too and agree it is one that works year round. No, I wait till after Thanksgiving. I love the holidays though…makes the house feel even more loved and welcoming then it already is.

What a great idea – make holiday decorating, everyday decorating!

Noooo definitely not! Though I DO sing Christmas carols year round. Does that count?

Thrilled for this piece to finally see the light o Thrilled for this piece to finally see the light of day on @thegirlfriendletter. And a hearty thanks to @profwendywood, author of Good Habits, Bad Habits, for her words of wisdom. I wrote this back in February, before Covid threw us all a curveball. One thing that I realized is that whether or not we’re in quarantine, many of our basic human traits remain the same. Once a perfectionist, always a perfectionist...until I learned that that mindset was actually holding me back. Love to hear your thoughts.
