There are some scents that take us back in time and remind us of loved ones, special memories, and places we’ve been.
Here are ten of my favorites:
1. Freshly cut lemons. Happy and fresh.
2. Babies anytime, but especially after a bath, nestled in your arms.
3. Coffee brewing in the morning. Heaven.
4. A warm ocean breeze. Melts my stress away just thinking about it.
5. Chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven. Yum!
6. Popcorn popping at the movie theater. Make mine a large bucket!
7. Coppertone Sunscreen. I love the scent and it brings back the best memories of summer.
8. Bakeries. The smell of fresh baked pastries and butter cream frosting make me swoon.
9. Jasmine blooming in the spring. Ahhh…
10. Black or white truffles on anything! Pizza, pasta, french-fries. Delish!
What are some of your favorites?
Yummy! I love all of these. Great list!
Thank you, Sharon!
How could I forget the smell of Coppertone? The smell of dark tanning oil brings back many memories.
It’s THE best smell. Puts a smile on my face every time.
Love the jasmine too. Miss smelling my garden back in Cali.
Come for a visit!
Yum to bakeries! I had that on my list. Your list is great! I love the smell of all these things. I could have listed like 30 more things on my list. 🙂
Oh, I know. So many yummy things to smell…
Great smells! I love Coppertone. And anything having to do with the ocean.
I’m with you, Janie!
If only that popcorn were actually healthy 😉
Great list!
I pretend it is 🙂
Oh wow – the picture of those chocolate chip cookies makes me want to make some instantly. They too made my list. I did say bread coming out of a bakery, but really, all of the scents related to a bakery I love. I didn’t put movie popcorm (forgot) but yes, that is the one of the best parts of the whole theater experience!
I could stand in a bakery all day long! Heavenly 🙂
Coffee! Anytime, anywhere! Fun post:)
I love all of these. I especially love the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking in the oven – yummy.
One other thing: as a Jewish girl I always loved the smell of Christmas trees. I have a Yankee Candle that smells just like one.
Of course, anything that reminds me of the ocean is also tops with me!
Ooh, such a good list! Just the suggestion of some of these smells has me swooning!
Imagining each of these while I was reading was a lovely way to begin my day – thanks!
Truffles, that’s a good one. Morels too
Yes to all! Love the power of scent and how it can just transport you to your most favorite moments in time. Visiting from SITS. Happy Saturday!
My 2 favs- lemon and coffee! My parents have owned a bakery since I was 10, so unfortunately I’ve been around it so long that it doesn’t really smell that great to me. 🙂
Even better than the smell of chocolate chip cookies baking is the smell of them coming out of the oven and headed into your mouth!
Wow indeed ve added into my list lots of yummy things
