BlogHer kindly sends us #NaBloPoMo masochists a daily blog prompt during the week just in case we are at a loss for ideas. So far, I haven’t used any of theirs. Where my ideas come from I’ll never know. Divine intervention, perhaps.
I’m not even half way through the 30 day challenge and I know at some point, probably around week 3, when the kids come home for Thanksgiving and I’ll be pulled as thin as cheap taffy, I’ll be scraping the barrel for anything semi-coherent just to be able to click publish and hold on to any threads of sanity.
Here’s what you might see during week 3 & 4. Don’t say I didn’t warn you.
1. My dental x-rays
2. Photos of my baby teeth
3. Photos of my kids baby teeth
4. My kindergarten report card, including teacher’s comments
5. The MRI of my shoulder
6. The MRI of my hip
7. The MRI of my spine
8. Snippets from my childhood diary – sibling trouble
9. Snippets from my junior high diary – girl trouble
10. Snippets from my high school diary – boy trouble
11. Copies of my miserable letters home from camp
12. Photos of my scrapbook circa 1972
13. My menstrual cycle calendar
14. Photo of my uterus (post-op)
15. My SAT scores
16. My most recent blood panel
If this didn’t scare you off, you might want to read the other #NaBloPoMo posts I’ve written so far, please look here.
“I’ll be pulled as thin as cheap taffy.”–Priceless! I actually snorted. And I hear ya! But hey, we are half way there in…an hour and a half here in California. Cheers to the rest of it.
Elin, I live to make people snort! You’ve made my day. And since it is Day 15, the half way mark, I am a little giddy. So glad we’re in this together 🙂
If you could leave out the photo of your uterus I’d appreciate it, Linda. We’re going away for 3 days for T-giving so let’s see what I come up with. The Vagina Monologues? 🙂
Hysterical! Loved it. Desperation does wonderful things to you sense of humor.
I think these look great. I so wish I had a childhood diary to look through. I’ve journal-led for many years. It’s fun to look back. And hive-five to Day 15 in the books.
The childhood diaries might be way fun reads…just sayin’!
See now I can double like this one. Haha. What Cathy said! So funny, even the second time around. 🙂
And I thought I’d had a lot of MRIs done. Hmmm.… maybe we should have an MRI bloghop with the midlifers.
Oh my gosh what a list! I admire your ability to actually create this!
Ha ha ha!! You are getting funnier with each day of NaBloPoMo. Maybe we should continue it for another month? JUST KIDDING!!
LOL! Sounds exciting.
