Sometimes I get this what-the-heck feeling, to throw all caution to the wind, and jump into something completely insane.
I was feeling the itch to get back to my blogging roots. That first year of endless delights every time I clicked “publish.”
Once you’ve been blogging for a while your blog may not always feel like your own. You know your readers may be expecting a certain something and, being the eternal good-girl, you want to deliver.
But I want that loving feeling again. To feel like the sky’s the limit. After all, the best part ofย having your own blog is that it’s yours to do with whatever you want. It’s your playground. Am I right?
So, I’ve officially jumped on the crazy train and decided to join some other slightly obsessed and possibly medicated passionate bloggers for the NaBloPoMo (National Blog Posting Month), a 30 day challenge to churn out a new blog post EVERY. SINGLE. DAY.
Normally, the writing process is a slow one for me. I like to play with it, mold it, love it, hate it, step away from it, tweak it, until I’m done. Each and every time it’s like giving birth.
But this?
This writing will be fast and furious. Perhaps a little uncensored. Maybe even a little raw. Like nothing you’ve ever seen…from me.
Don’t worry, even though I will be posting daily, I won’t be bombarding your inbox. If I’ve tickled your curiosity, you can find my #Nablopomo posts on my site to see what secrets I’ve spilled or what mischief I’ve gotten myself into. I will do a weekly round up if I think I’ve struck gold.
Warning: If you see me including excerpts from my diary circa 1970s or my need for new bras, you’ll know my creative well is running dry.
Be gentle with me. Offer me some suggestions. It’s gonna be fun. It’s gonna be good. I hope you’ll join me and cheer me on.

I agree. This is going to be fun. No expectations on posts. Just post. Woo.
Carpool Goddess says
Love the no expectations! Just like in the beginning when no one was reading my posts ๐
Ruth Curran says
I can’t imagine your creative well running dry! Sincerely Yours, One of the Slightly Obsessed (and under-medicated)
Sabrina Lovejoy says
Just letting you know that I’m in this thing with you! We can squint and click ‘Publish’ together when the creativity well produces something interesting. ๐ Day one…Done!

So happy you joined us on the Crazy Train! Yes, by the end of the month, we will probably all need to be medicated!
Toni McCloe says
Wow, you are much more ambitious than I ever dreamed of being. Good for you and good luck to you. I’ll be reading along.
Carol Cassara says
The idea of you spilling secrets is irresistible. I’ll be here!
Kim says
Oh hell. I’ll admit to being medicated. Still insane, but at least medicated enough to not completely lose my ish.
Best of luck to you on this crazy ride. I’m right there next to you. Pass the vodka would ya?
Janie Emaus says
Great! I’ll be reading everyday, even if I don’t comment. I’m heading for The Alamo!
Elaine Ambrose says
I think your diaries from the 1970s could be quite interesting…
Elin Stebbins Waldal says
Love every single word of this post. And I relate 100% to that simmer when it comes to writing. But yeah, a bit tougher when it’s daily. I look forward to sharing the journey this month!
Cathy Chester says
From one insane blogger to another, I’m glad we’re doing this ride together. Can we virtually enjoy wine together across the miles? Let me know when you’re ready!
Shannan Ball Younger says
Excited to follow along and as I’m participating for the first time, I absolutely fear that I will end up writing about the need for new bras myself.
Lisa Endlich Heffernan says
Looking forward to this Linda, can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Haralee Weintraub says
I will be cheering you on!
Nancy Hill (@Nerthus) says
Like Elaine, I want to see the entries from ’70s diaries. We will survive this month.
